Colin grew up in Eugene and stayed in town where he earned his Business Degree from The University of Oregon in 2011. His first love was basketball where he was a two-time all league player at Churchill Highschool. While at the University of Oregon he got more serious about golf and after graduating went to work at Emerald Valley Golf Club, where he spent 7 years as an Assistant Golf Professional. Colin has been at Shadow Hills since 2020 where he started as an Assistant Golf Professional and was promoted to Head Golf Professional in 2024.

He has been very successful with his playing career in the PGA participating in 2 PGA Championships at Southern Hills in 2022 and Oak Hills in 2023. Other notable wins and accomplishments in the Northwest PGA section include:

  • 2018 Oregon Open Champion
  • 2020 and 2022 Washington Open Champion
  • 2021 Rosauers Open Champion
  • 3-time Oregon Chapter Champion
  • 2019 PNW Assistants Champion
  • 3-time Assistant Golf Professional Player of the Year and 2-time Players of the Year in the Northwest Section

Colin has excelled as a teacher, sharing his knowledge and skills with players of all levels. He described his teaching style this way, “I like giving lessons to all types of skill levels! I am a big believer in drills with instant feedback, so I use a lot of training aids and sticks to help get you to feel the right movement. I also love using TrackMan because I believe it helps me be a better teacher, and gives you quantifiable data about your golf game and the changes we are making.”
